I remember him often saying the same thing about his dad, whom I barley knew. It seems a common problem, that when men grow up enough to know that they need advice from the elders is after the elders are gone.
So I chose to stop that cycle. Using this simple technology of blogs held in some ethereal cloud somewhere.... I chose to leave to you the thoughts that seem valuable. My thoughts as your dad, as one who had gone before and seen a few things. One who had seen more than my fair share of treasures. These I leave to you here. Do with it what you will, and what He wills. All I can do is delivery, you must find value yourself.
So herein you will see a combination of family history, personal thoughts on religion, life, health, relationships, nature, wisdom itself. Whatever comes to mind over the course of this writing. I will do my best to categorize this but it will be written a bit haphazardly, as things come to mind.
My advice? Take what value you may glean on a first reading, and go.. Use it. Make your life better from it. Then return and dig deeper. Every new trip here will yield deeper value than those before if you seek it. As you browse these postings, honestly ask God in your heart to reveal his wisdom in my feeble words.
None of this is mine all wisdom comes from God and God alone. He is wisdom, he is the author. I am but a questionable messenger, a spokesman.
So venture into these pages with an open mind and hopefully you will never need to ask the unanswerable question... "what would my dad say ?"
